Board of Directors

The Board of Directors of BIDV comprises 11 members, one of whom is an independent member

Mr. Phan Duc Tu

Chairman

Born 1964 Mr. Phan Duc Tu joined BIDV in 1987. He became Head of BIDV Quang Ngai branch in January 1998 and Head of Human Resources in March 2005. He was appointed Senior Executive Vice President in June 2007. He has been a Board member and Chief Executive Officer of BIDV until 14 November 2018. From 15 November 2018 he is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of BIDV.

Mr. Le Ngoc Lam

Board member /n CEO

Born 1975 Joined BIDV in 1997. He was appointed Deputy Head of Credit Risk Management in March 2009, Deputy Head of Investment Banking, Transaction Center 1 in October 2010. In April 2012 he was Head of Credit Risk Management and Head of Corporate Banking in April 2013. He was appointed Senior Executive Vice President of BIDV on 15 January 2015. From 15 November 2018 he is a Senior Executive Vice President in charge of the Board of Management.On 12 March 2021, he was elected by the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders to the BIDV Board of Directors for the 2017-2022 term and assigned by the Board of Directors to be the Chief Executive Officer of BIDV.

Mr. Dang Van Tuyen

Board member

Mr. Dang Van Tuyen Born 1973 Mr. Dang Van Tuyen started working at the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) in 1996. From March 2016 to February 2020, he was Deputy Director General of the Organization and Personnel Department of the SBV. From February 2020 to April 2023, he was Director General of the Organization and Personnel Department, SBV. He has been elected as a Board member of BIDV since April 2023.

Mr. Yoo Je Bong

Board member

Born 1962 Mr. Yoo has held positions of Vice President, Hana Financial Group Inc; Head of global strategy, Hana Financial Group Inc; and Global Business Strategy Executive Director, KEB Hana Bank. He has been elected as a Board member of BIDV since 27 December 2019.

Mr. Tran Xuan Hoang

Board member

Born 1965 Joined BIDV in 1989. He was appointed Deputy Head of BIDV Gia Lai branch in July 1996, Deputy Head of Transaction Center 2 branch in July 2006, and then Head of Human Resources in August 2008. He was appointed Senior Executive Vice President in May 2012, and Board member in March 2020.

Mr. Ngo Van Dung

Board member

Born 1968 Mr. Ngo Van Dung joined BIDV in 1998. He was Head of Risk Management Department at BIDV in September 2004 and Head of BIDV Hanoi branch in December 2007. He has been a Board member of BIDV since June 2015.

Mr. Pham Quang Tung

Board member

Born 1971 He began his career at BIDV in the credit appraisal and lending division. In March 2005, he was appointed Deputy Director of BIDV Transaction Center No. 1. In January 2006, he became General Director of BIDV Insurance Company (BIC). From September 2010, he served as Chairman of the Board of Directors cum General Director of BIDV Insurance Corporation. In October 2010, he was appointed Deputy Chief Executive Officer of BIDV, concurrently serving as Chairman of the Board of Directors of BIDV Insurance Corporation and Chairman of the Members’ Council of BIDV MetLife Life Insurance Company Limited. In June 2016, he assumed the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Vietnam Development Bank (VDB). From April 2018, he served as a Member of the Board of Directors of BIDV cum Chairman of the Members’ Council of BIDV - SuMi TRUST Leasing Company Limited (BSL). Since June 2024, he has held the position of Member of the Board of Directors of BIDV and chairman of BIDV Tower Joint Venture Company.

Mr. Le Quoc Nghi

Board member

Born 1965 Since March 1987, he has served as a soldier in Division 327, Military Region I, of the Vietnam People’s Army; from May 1989, he worked as an officer at the former Ha Tay Branch of the State Bank of Vietnam; from December 1993, he was Deputy Head of the General Affairs and Economic Research Department at the former Ha Tay Branch of the State Bank of Vietnam; from April 1995, he served as Head of the Information Technology Department at the same branch; from August 1995, he was a Controller at the General Inspection Department of the State Bank of Vietnam; from October 1996, he held the positions of Deputy Head and then Head of Department at the General Inspection Department of the State Bank of Vietnam; from May 2004, he served as Deputy Director General and then Director General of the Internal Audit Department of the State Bank of Vietnam; since March 2025, he has been Director General of a department under the State Bank of Vietnam; and since April 2025, he has been a member of the Board of Directors of BIDV.

Mr. Quach Hung Hiep

Board member

Born 1969 Joined BIDV in 1991. From June 1999 to July 2002, he was Senior Executive Vice President at Lao-Viet Joint Venture Bank (LVB). In December 2004, he was appointed Chairman of VID PUBLIC Bank. He was Deputy Head of Transaction Center 1 in April 2005, and Head of Transaction Center 3 in January 2007. He was appointed Senior Executive Vice President in October 2010.

Mr. Le Kim Hoa

Board member

Born 1965 Joined BIDV in 1987. He was appointed Head of BIDV Dak Lak branch in September 2002 and Head of Credit in August 2007. In May 2009, he was Head of BIDV Ho Chi Minh city branch. He was appointed Senior Executive Vice President in September 2013, and Board member in March 2020.

Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh

Independent Board member

Born 1960 Mr. Thanh started working at the State Bank of Vietnam – Quang Ninh branch in 1982. In September 1994, he was Chief of Office of Vietnam Bank for Industry and Trade (Vietinbank). In February 1996, he was Head of Financial Management Department, Vietinbank. In October 1999, he was Deputy CEO of Vietinbank. In January 2012, he was chairman of Deposit Insurance of Vietnam. In May 2015, he was Director of the Human Resources Department – the State Bank of Vietnam. He has been elected as an Independent Board member of BIDV since May 2022.

Ms. Ta Thi Hanh

Head

Born in 1972 Joined BIDV in 1994. Head of BIDV Contact Center since January 2020. From June 2011 - January 2024, Chief Accountant and Head of Accounting Department. She has been appointed Head of BIDV Supervisory Board since January 31, 2023.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha

Member

Born in 1980 Joined BIDV in 2002; 2015-2020: Deputy Director of BIDV's Operation Efficiency Management, Deputy Director of BIDV Hai Ba Trung Branch; from November 2020, she is Deputy Director of Strategic Planning and Management Department of BIDV; from March 2021 she is a member of the Supervisory Board of BIDV.

Mr. Cao Cu Tri

Member

Born 1966 Joined BIDV in 2002. He became Deputy Head of Transaction Center 3 of BIDV in October 2006 and Deputy Head of the BIDV Supervisory Board in March 2009. He was appointed to the Supervisory Board at the BIDV’s first Annual General Meeting of Shareholders on 8 March 2012.

Mr. Nguyen Trung Kien

Born in 1973 Joined BIDV since 1995. February 2008 - June 2009: Deputy head of Accounting Department - Supervisory Board of BIDV. June 2009 - December 2011: Deputy Director of Lao Viet Bank (Hanoi Branch). January 2012 - September 2022 : Director of Lao Viet Bank (Hanoi Branch). October 2013 - September 2022: Director of BIDV Chuong Duong Branch. October 2022 - January 2024: Deputy Head of Internal Audit at BIDV. From January 30, 2024 onwards, he has been a member of the BIDV Supervisory Board.

Mr Huynh Phuong

Member

Born in 1968 Joined BIDV in September 1996; appointed Deputy Head of Department at Quang Ngai Branch in September 2003; became Chief Internal Auditor at Quang Ngai Branch in July 2004; promoted to Head of HR Department at Quang Ngai Branch in December 2006; then served as Head of Personal Lending Department at Quang Ngai Branch from June 2007. In November 2007, appointed Deputy Head of Inspection Department 2 under the Internal Audit Division at BIDV Head Office, and later promoted to Head of the same department in January 2012. From January 2012 to January 2013, concurrently served as Deputy Head of the SCB Supervisory Task Force of the State Bank of Vietnam and Head of the Supervisory Board of BIDV Financial Leasing Company. In July 2017, appointed Deputy Director of the Compliance Inspection and Supervision Division for Region 3 (Central and Central Highlands); concurrently participated in the Special Supervisory Board of the State Bank of Vietnam at DongA Bank from August 2015 to March 2019. Served as a Member of the Board of Directors at DongA Bank from April 2019 to April 2025. Appointed as a Member of the Supervisory Board at BIDV from April 26, 2025.

Mr. Le Ngoc Lam

Born 1975 Joined BIDV in 1997. He was appointed Deputy Head of Credit Risk Management in March 2009, Deputy Head of Investment Banking, Transaction Center 1 in October 2010. In April 2012 he was Head of Credit Risk Management and Head of Corporate Banking in April 2013. He was appointed Senior Executive Vice President of BIDV on 15 January 2015.
