On 13 March 2020 in Hanoi, the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) announced the appointment of new members of the Board of Directors and Senior Executive Vice Presidents.

Attending the ceremony were Mr. Dao Minh Tu - Standing Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam; Mr. Hoang Giang - Deputy Secretary of the Central Business Bloc’s Party Committee; representatives of units under the State Bank of Vietnam and the Central Business Bloc’s Party Committee, Mr. Phan Duc Tu - Secretary of BIDV’s Party Committee and Chairman of the Board of Directors; members of the Board of Directors, Board of Management and leaders of units at head office.

Upon the approval of the Central Business Bloc’s Party Committee, the Party Committee and Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam, and based on the Resolution of BIDV’s General Meeting of Shareholders dated 7 March 2020, the bank's Board of Directors announced Mr. Le Kim Hoa (Senior Executive Vice President) and Mr. Tran Xuan Hoang (Senior Executive Vice President) have been elected to BIDV’s Board of Directors for the 2017-2022 term. BIDV's Board of Directors also announced the appointment of Mr. Phan Thanh Hai (Head of Wholesale Banking Group and Director of Corporate Banking Department), Mr. Hoang Viet Hung (Director of Human Resources Department), Mrs. Nguyen Thi Quynh Giao (Director of BIDV Hanoi branch) and Mr. Tran Long (Director of BIDV Ha Thanh branch) as Senior Executive Vice Presidents of BIDV. The term of office is 5 years starting 12 March 2020. With the new appointments, BIDV's Board of Directors consists of Mr. Phan Duc Tu – Board chairman and 9 directors; the Board of Management comprises Mr. Le Ngoc Lam - Senior Executive Vice President in charge of the Board of Management and 11 members.
