From 10 September 2020 to 31 December 2020, BIDV and Bank for Investment and Development of Cambodia (BIDC) launches a promotion program offering waiver of transfer fee from Cambodia to Vietnam, and also increasing limits for transactions made via BIDC’s mobile banking app.

Accordingly, customers opening an USD account at BIDC (in Cambodia) and transferring to a BIDV account (in Vietnam) via BIDV’s mobile banking app will be charged no fee for this transaction. In addition, the two banks have increased limits for transactions from Cambodia to Vietnam via 24/7 transfer function on BIDC’s mobile banking app. In particular:

Senders are individual customers opening USD account at BIDC, and beneficiaries are BIDV customers opening an USD or VND account. The beneficiaries will then receive the money sent in cash in USD or VND at their convenience. If a BIDV’s customer who receives the money sent from Cambodia in USD, but wishes to withdraw it in VND, the bank system will automatically exchange the currency.
